The Woodlands

Snowdrops in the Gallery Wood Grass Bridge

Ancient Apple Tree Marl Pit Pond
A woodland walk follows the stream though modern tree planting and old woods and skirts two large ponds, one created in ancient times by the extraction of marl, a special clay. Along the way are many species of wild flora and fauna encouraged by careful and award winning habitat management. It winds back past new specialist tree planting and crosses the red bridge over the bog garden.
Guided nature walks by appointment.
