What to see in October

 



Visit the gardens by appointment this month.

One of the most delightful months. The flowers of high summer still blooming are augmented by the fruits of Autumn. Red apples, pink spindle berries, and scented yellow quince decorate the garden. Purple grapes are raided by insect and birds, and foliage begins to assume the vivid hues of the approach of winter.

Visitors are invited to pick an apple from the wild orchard surrounding the car park.
