After graduating from university in 2004, Marigold wanted to return to her artistic roots and has been painting portraits ever since. In recent years, she has discovered a passion for simple line drawing and etching. "I tend to focus on small objects of curiosity, mainly natural things that have interesting contours and textures. I really enjoy the balance I’ve found between drawing and painting as they involve different challenges and rewards."

Sarah has always enjoyed painting, drawing and making things. She likes to experiment with a variety of media and techniques, including oil, gouache, mixed media and machine embroidery.

'A Serendipity of Colour, Threads and Clay' Exhibition

Deborah Tompsett, Sue Davis and Sandra Kay are three friends drawn together by a shared painterly aesthetic.

Deborah uses colour, marks and texture on clay and paper to leave a record of sensations and feelings. Current work reflects the fleeting fragments of her encounters with the seasons and the exuberant joyous response inspired. For further details please visit her website: www.deborahtompsett.co.uk

Sue finds colour exhilarating with its ability to evoke strong feelings that are hard to capture in words. By using abstraction with its language of pattern and texture in her paintings and prints, she aims to explore the capacity that colour has to move us. See her website for further details: www.suemdavis.com

Sandra's background is rooted in textiles and her paintings play on the interweaving of textures, colour and line in combination with the elusive threads of emotion. See her website for further details: www.sandrakay.co.uk
